- Elevation: 1982 m
- Region: Trentino-Alto Adige
- Valleys: Val Badia and Val di Funes

Passo delle Erbe (Würzjoch), at 1,982 m (6,503 ft), links the Val Badia and the Val di Funes. Trails start from it across the pastures.

## Where is Passo delle Erbe and what can you see from it?
The pass opens below the **Sass de Putia** (Peitlerkofel in German), which towers over it. It also leads to Luson and Bressanone, in the Isarco valley. In Ladin the pass is Ju de Börz, and the Val di Funes is Villnöss in German.

## How do you get to Passo delle Erbe?
**By bus**, two lines go up to the pass:

- **From the Val Badia**, line 464 runs hourly from the Pikolein cable car, from mid-June to early October in 2026.
- **From the Val di Funes**, line 339 leaves from San Pietro, from May to November in 2026.

Check the 2027 dates and the connections in the Südtirol Mobil timetables.

**On foot**, from the Kalkofen car park, trails 1 and 8 climb to the pass in 1 hour: 3 km (1.9 mi) and 290 m (951 ft) of ascent. From Russis, in the Val di Funes, the Günther-Messner-Steig and then trail 8 A take 2 hours 50 minutes: 8 km (5 mi) and 500 m (1,640 ft) of ascent.

**By car**, the pass road, the SP29, is a narrow mountain road, single-lane in places. From San Martino in Badia, it can be driven all year; from the Val di Funes, from May to November only. On that side, line 339 runs with minibuses.

## What can you do from Passo delle Erbe?
**The pastures and the Puez-Odle nature park** open up around the pass. Hikes towards the Lüsner Alm pasture and in the park offer views of the Sass de Putia.

**The Sass de Putia hike**: our [Sass de Putia Loop guide](/hiking-dolomites/sasso-putia/) describes the full loop, a demanding day with a steep climb on scree, and its short version, an out-and-back from the pass through the pastures and huts on the east side.
