## Description

Berggasthaus Pederü is situated at 1,548 m (5,079 ft) at the head of the **Val di Tamores**, where the paved road ends and the trails into the **Fanes-Sennes-Braies Natural Park** begin. It is the most important trailhead for the entire Fanes area, serving as the starting point for routes to **Rifugio Fodara Vedla**, **Rifugio Lavarella**, and the high **Sennes plateau**.

Access is straightforward - a shuttle bus runs regularly from **San Vigilio di Marebbe** during summer, and limited parking is available at the trailhead. The hut itself functions more as a mountain guesthouse than a traditional refuge, with comfortable rooms, hot showers, and a full restaurant serving South Tyrolean specialties.

With 42 beds and a welcoming atmosphere, Pederü is an ideal place to spend the night before or after a multi-day trek through the Fanes. The building also houses a small shop with basic supplies and trail maps. The **Cascate di Fanes** waterfalls are a short walk from the door, and the trail to **Fodara Vedla** begins directly behind the property.
