# Malga Pramper

A tiny seasonal malga deep in the remote Val Prampèr, offering one of the most secluded overnight experiences in the southern Dolomites.

## Description

Malga Pramper sits at 1,540 m (5,052 ft) in the heart of **Val Prampèr**, a deeply wooded valley in the southern Dolomites accessible from **Longarone**. With space for just eight guests, it is one of the smallest and most secluded overnight options in the region. The malga is open from June through September and retains the character of a traditional alpine dairy farm.

The valley is part of the **Dolomiti Bellunesi National Park** and is known for its rich biodiversity, old-growth beech forests, and near-total absence of crowds. Trails from the malga climb to **Forcella di Pramper** and connect with routes toward the **Schiara** group and the remote peaks of the southern Dolomites. Wildlife sightings - including chamois, deer, and golden eagles - are common.

Access requires a walk of roughly 4 km (2.5 mi) along a forest track from the road head in the valley. The malga serves simple meals with locally produced cheese and polenta. Given its extremely limited capacity, reservations must be made well in advance for any stay during the summer season.
