## Description

Rifugio Col Gallina sits at 2,055 m (6,742 ft) on the southern slopes of **Lagazuoi**, directly above the **Passo Falzarego**. The hut is a popular stop for hikers heading up to the famous WWI tunnels and galleries that riddle the mountain. Its position at the junction of several trails makes it a natural meeting point for day hikers and multi-day trekkers alike.

The surrounding landscape is dominated by the imposing west face of **Lagazuoi** and sweeping views across the valley toward the **Cinque Torri** rock towers. On a clear day, the panorama extends south to **Monte Pelmo** and east toward the **Tofane** massif. The terrain is open and rocky, with alpine meadows carpeting the lower slopes.

The hut provides simple but comfortable accommodation with dormitory-style rooms and a small restaurant serving traditional Ladin cuisine. It is easily reached from the **Falzarego Pass** car park in roughly 30 minutes on foot, making it accessible to families and less experienced walkers. Reservations are recommended in August.
