## Description

Rifugio San Sebastiano stands at 1,605 m (5,266 ft) in the wooded valley of **La Valle Agordina**, positioned between the towering walls of the **Civetta** to the north and the jagged crest of **Moiazza** to the south. The refuge accommodates 25 guests and operates year-round, providing a tranquil base in one of the quieter corners of the Bellunese Dolomites.

The trails radiating from the hut access some of the most rugged terrain in the **Agordino** district. Routes climb northward to the **Civetta** group via **Forcella della Gusela**, while southward paths reach the dramatic spires of **Moiazza** and connect to the **Alta Via 1** corridor. The surrounding forest is a mix of beech and spruce, with clearings that frame striking views of both massifs.

Access is via a forest road from **La Valle Agordina** in the Cordevole valley. The hut is known for generous home-cooked meals featuring local Agordino specialties. Its year-round operation and low-key atmosphere make it particularly appealing for off-season visitors, snowshoers, and anyone looking to escape the summer crowds.
