**Arrival day.** Your guide meets you at Venice airport for the 2.5-hour transfer through the Venetian plain and into the mountains, arriving at your hotel in the heart of Cortina d'Ampezzo. The evening is free to explore the town and prepare your kit for the days ahead.

### Day 2: Cinque Torri from Falzarego Pass

**Cinque Torri traverse.** The walk starts at Falzarego Pass at 2,105 m (6,906 ft) and climbs to Forcella Averau at 2,435 m (7,989 ft). From the ridge, views extend to the Marmolada and across the Val Badia before a long descent through meadows past the famous five rock towers.

### Day 3: Croda da Lago Circuit

- Distance: 11 km
- Time: 5 h
- Ascent: 400 m
- Descent: 900 m

**Croda da Lago loop.** Starting from Giau Pass at 2,236 m (7,336 ft) - one of the most photographed road passes in the Dolomites - the route climbs to Forcella Giau at 2,360 m (7,743 ft) before circling beneath the sheer walls of Croda da Lago. Wildflower meadows and small mountain lakes punctuate the long descent.

### Day 4: Tofane Massif on the Alta Via 1

- Time: 5 h
- Ascent: 350 m
- Descent: 630 m

**Alta Via 1 section.** Today follows a classic stretch of the Alta Via 1, passing the Dibona Refuge at 2,045 m (6,709 ft) beneath the imposing Tofane group. The path winds through scree fields and larch forest, with the distinctive Tofana de Rozes dominating the skyline throughout.
