Day-by-Day Itinerary
Arrival in Cortina d'Ampezzo
Arrival day. Your guide meets the group at Venice airport for the 2.5-hour transfer into the mountains, arriving at the hotel in central Cortina d'Ampezzo. The evening is free to explore the town, settle in, and meet your fellow hikers over dinner.
Cinque Torri from Falzarego Pass
First steps together. The walk begins at Falzarego Pass at 2,105 m6,906 ft and climbs to Forcella Averau at 2,435 m7,989 ft. From the ridge, views extend across the Val Badia and toward the Marmolada before a long descent through meadows past the five famous rock towers.
Croda da Lago Circuit
Croda da Lago loop. From Giau Pass at 2,236 m7,336 ft the route climbs to Forcella Giau at 2,360 m7,742 ft and circles beneath the sheer walls of Croda da Lago. Wildflower meadows and mountain lakes make this one of the most rewarding days of the week.
Tofane Massif on the Alta Via 1
Alta Via 1 section. A classic stretch of the Dolomites long-distance high route passes the Dibona Refuge at 2,045 m6,709 ft beneath the Tofane group. The path winds through scree and larch forest with the Tofana de Rozes dominating the skyline throughout the day.
Tre Cime di Lavaredo Loop
The highlight together. The most anticipated day of the week. A morning drive to Auronzo Refuge at 2,320 m7,612 ft precedes the classic circuit around the three towers. The north face reveal at Forcella de Mezzo is a shared moment the group will not forget.
Lake Sorapis via Tre Croci Pass
Lake Sorapis descent. From Passo Tre Croci the trail to Lake Sorapis passes fixed cables and carved steps in the steeper sections. The turquoise colour of the lake - fed by glacial meltwater - is one of the most striking sights in the entire Dolomites.
Transfer to Venice
Departure day. After a final breakfast, the group travels back to Venice airport on the 2.5-hour transfer through the mountains and the Venetian plain. The tour concludes on arrival at Venice.
